PartyPoker.com holds basically two types of tournaments

Sit & Go tournaments are available all the time, 24/7. They begin as early as any particular numbers of players are there at the tournament tables.

On March 12, 2006, million party poker started the MS Westerdam having 528 of the best online poker players and professionals in the world. It sailed from Ft. Lauderdale with the goal of having a share of $5,280,000 prize pool.
The contest was on for five days of great poker action. College kid Mike Schneider, received the highly regarded $1 million top prize in the PartyPoker.com Million V. He defeated Kenna James by a whisker. Kenna James collected $700,000 as second place.
The world’s best 735 online poker players and professionals met on a luxury cruise ship on March 19, 2005. They competed for $7.4 million prize fund assigned for PartyPoker.com Million IV Tournament. It was the biggest amount in the WPT history.
The PartyPoker.com Million IV Tournament ended after exciting battle between Michael Gracz, a 24-year-old graduate and Lt. Colonel David Minto, a military rocket scientist, aged near 54. Gracz became the winner with $1.5m victory at million party poker.
In the 2004 PartyPoker.com Million III tournament, Erick Lindgren won $1,000,000! The world-class million party poker event took place on the Holland America cruise ship.
The 2003 PartyPoker.com Million II tournament was joined by 177 players. They all played Limit Hold'em game contesting for a total prize pool of more than one million dollars. The action on the final table gripped everyone as it turned to be an aggressive one. Howard Lederer emerged winner as he exhausted Chip Jett’s deal and won the 2003 PartyPoker.com Million II. He won $263,850! Chip Jett received $175,900 at the second place.
In the first ever PartyPoker.com Million tournament, Kathy Liebert was the first woman to win $1,000,000 in the whole poker history. This tournament was very important as it marked many crucial milestones: It was first Hold'em tournament and offered first prize as $1,000,000. It had the combination of online qualifiers with offline buy-ins. Million party poker became the first as they took the participants on a weeklong cruise.
The next year upcoming PartyPoker Million tournament is scheduled to have a prize pool of about $10 million. Just anyone can give a try and qualify.
